The idiom “It’s a piece of cake” definitely wasn’t coined in China. Cakes are not easy to come by, the default flavors are all prepared for Chinese tastes, and especially for weddings, they can be very expensive. After researching a bunch of options, we decided to go for four separate cakes each with a unique flavor and design.
We brought the cakes to The Park Restaurant but because the dance was crazy, most people didn’t eat it there. So afterwards we took them back to the hotel to serve it. It worked out wonderfully and provided a great opportunity to relax and reflect with everyone afterwards.
