Meet the Family

Ever since Tian and I got engaged, we’ve been picturing the moment our parents and immediate families would finally get to meet face-to-face.  In the last year, they met over Skype once or twice, but until this August, that was the extent of it.  And while Tian’s parents already had met Dan in Xiaogan, they had not met my other brother Michael.  So that made for a very fun and memorable first morning.

First hugs!

There was definitely a lot to laugh about.

At times language was a barrier.

But actions spoke louder than words. FYI, that's mosquito repellent.

People showed and told.

In the end, Michael's earlobes won them over.
