Time Out

With the summer heat so stifling, we had to take an occasional time out.  At one point, we window shopped a fancy mall, which invited us in with a blast of cold air conditioning as we walked by the wide open double doors.  Despite the obvious waste of electricity, we wantonly reveled in its icy embrace.

We also stopped for a foot massage...about $5 for an hour. At the end, they used suction cups, a new experience for both of us.

One evening we sang karaoke ("KTV" in China) with Wang Jing. In China, you get your private room to sing, which means you control the songs AND the AC.

  1. It’s too hot here too! Time for the state fair I guess.
