THIS Feels Better…

Sunday marks the official end of the Spring Festival in China, and everyone will be back to work tomorrow.  I’m especially excited because many of my normal street vendors should be back too.  Oh how I have missed them.

For Tian, the new semester at Tsinghua International School (THIS) brings an exciting change of pace.  Many of you know that she was originally hired in July to teach Chinese this year, but the administration then moved her into administrative support.  The good news is that because of some teacher turnover in the department, she has been made a full time teacher again.  She is looking forward to looking forward to work everyday and also getting paid a little more.

Tian will be trading in her office for a classroom, a welcome change.

This fall Tian was frustrated when asked last minute to complete admin tasks late at night and on weekends. Hopefully now, she'll just be planning classes.
